  • Steve Dismuke

    Lead Pastor

God inspired Pastor Steve Dismuke to come to Stanford Baptist Church in 2022. Pastor Steve did not take this lightly; he wanted to be in God's will for his journey and the Church's.

Pastor Steve was born close to Los Angeles, CA.  He accepted Christ at age 7 while visiting his grandparents in Carp, Indiana. He moved to Kentucky at the age of 7, where he stayed until he graduated in 1990. He joined the Army in Feb of 1992 until he retired as a First Sergeant after 24 years. During his time in the military, he served in many different locations and received an award for having the nation's #1 training site. While in the service, he preached to thousands of soldiers and led many to Christ.  Read More

  • Dalton Thompson

    Youth Director

Pastor Dalton is our energetic, loud, passionate, and sometimes funny youth director. He is passionate about preaching the good news of Jesus in engaging and exciting ways. Dalton is from a small town called Burgin in Mercer County and has been a member of the SBC family for a little over two years. When Dalton is not coming up with a crazy game for our students to play on Wednesday nights, he is at his daytime job at Inter-County Energy as a first-class lineman, where he also takes great pride in his work. Dalton is married to our secretary, Britni, and they have two boys, Hunter and Hudson, who keep them busy and always on their toes. Also, as if he isn’t being pulled in 100 different ways, Dalton also plays bass on our worship team on Sunday mornings.

  • Rod Johnson

    Worship and Choir Director

Rod spent many years playing secular music both with a band and as a solo performer.  Needless to say, he played in some "questionable" establishments. One night about twelve years ago he found himself asking "What am I doing and why am I doing it"?  It was then that he started playing Worship music.  Since 2011 he has served on worship teams at other churches before finding his calling at Stanford Baptist Church in 2023. He is very humbled and proud to be part of such a great Church, where everyone "Loves God and Loves People".  He is married to his best friend and wife Tiffany. They are proud parents of a Firefighter, a Soldier, and a Teacher, and also have five grandchildren.

  • Britni tHOMPSON

Secretary (The Real Boss around here...)
Without Britni SBC’s staff would be just a big unorganized mess of good intentions. She is often the first face you see or first voice you hear when you contact our office and that’s one of her favorite things about her job. Britni uses her gifts of organizing and service to help SBC be all that it can be. When she’s not updating everyone’s calendar changes, chasing down receipts that our staff forgot to turn in, or helping her husband with the youth Britni likes to spend time with her husband of eight years, Dalton who ironically is our Youth Director, and their two boys Hunter and Hudson. It’s with her family that Britni likes to spend her free time and when she wants to get away from them she likes to go shopping or read a good book.

  • Donnie Sutherland

    Financial Administrator
Not only is Donnie our Financial Administrator at SBC, but he is also an advisor to our Pastor. Donnie retired from AT&T as a  Technician who likes working with formulas and numbers (with God's help and a lot of patience). Not only is he our numbers guy, but he’s also our go-to for everything in the church. Do you need the baptism filled? Donnie’s got it! Need grape juice for communion? Donnie’s got it! Need live animals for our Christmas float? That is where Donnie finally draws the line with all the demands of SBC. We wouldn’t be able to keep the lights on (literally) without Donnie (paying the bill).
